We are probably making it harder on ourselves by all the fretting we're doing. In the meantime, Katie just lives for the present and keeps things simple. Katie looked like this yesterday afternoon when I offered her a cookie:
If you have a moment and think of it, keep her in your thoughts tomorrow and for the days ahead.
(Shot with the Nikon D600 using the 50mm f/1.8 lens; aperture-priority, with aperture set to f/5.6; 1/100 second at ISO 6400; center-weighted; +0.7 exposure compensation; normal JPG.)
Prayers and best wishes for Katie. Never an easy decision to make, but I'm sure she will come through with flying colours:)
ReplyDeleteerin, sorry for the late reply. preparing for her surgery and its aftermath has kept us totally occupied, but i wanted to say "thanks" for your best wishes for katie.
DeleteAll of you are in my thoughts and prayers...particularly today.
ReplyDeletethanks, lori. she came through surgery very well, and was up on her feet in a short period of time.
DeletePraying for you, your family, Katie and everyone caring for Katie. Damn cancer.
ReplyDeletethanks for your concerns. it is greatly appreciated.
DeleteI hope the surgery went well today and that it buys you guys a lot of time together!
ReplyDeleteit did go well. we hope we caught it relatively early. the biopsy results should come back this week.
DeleteAll paws crossed (at least the ones who can) and sending good vibes for a quick recovery.
ReplyDeletethanks, gyeong. her recovery was quick -- ours, probably not so quick.
DeleteI'm late getting here (as usual) but I hope everything went well?
ReplyDeleteyes, the surgery was smooth and uneventful. our daughter texted a picture of katie standing in her dog run within an hour after she was closed up. she even tried to run up to the front door so she could bark at the mail carrier who was walking towards our door (we had to tell her, "no.").
DeleteHope your beautiful girl continues to recover well and I know you will enjoy whatever time you have with her.
ReplyDeletewe hope it'll be a long time. i'd like to think we caught this early, but we don't really know for sure.
