Behold the grace and beauty that is the Greyhound
So there.
(Shot with the Nikon D300 using the 70-200mm VR zoom; shutter-priority, with shutter set to 1/3200 second; camera set aperture to f/3.5 at ISO 400; auto white balance; matrix-metered; normal JPG.)
she had to shake herself off for some reason during her turn at the streak. and there were a few others that did likewise later on. i just amuse myself to see what i'll end up with.
presets are so handy. i'm not smart enough to create my own yet.
i went to look at my sequence to see what else she did, and, until she got to the very end, she kept looking to her left. a few steps before the end, she looked right. but never once did she run.
after one greyhound owner on GT posted a picture of a grey shaking its whole body, i was very amused and told myself that i had to try and catch our girls doing it. the pictures i got of our two aren't as amusing as this sequence, or of one picture i got while during a session at dewey last year. you might have seen it. i posted it in this blog earlier.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Oh, I love those shots! You caught a great series, and obviously a great moment in some young lady's life!
ReplyDeleteAnd I think I'm now hooked on Lightroom presets. I blame you! :)

Hahahaha, that's hilarious. And so perfect, actually. I don't think a lot of people realize that they do in fact have a goofy side. :)
ReplyDeleteit was spontaneous, and totally unexpected. she was very matter-of-fact about it, too.
DeleteRight place, right time. What a great set of hilarious shots.

ReplyDeleteit is a wonder, sometimes. i'm always curious about what i'll get when a situation like this presents itself.
DeleteHA .. thats awesome!.. of course Ricky looks like that about 80% of the time :)
ReplyDeleteand you still love him just the same.
