Gorgeous...the hounds goes without saying, and I particularly love the tree and building in the background.
ReplyDeletetried to provide a bit of context as to izzy's surroundings. it was a spur-of-the-moment decision to pull off the road we were on and park at this particular field. i was thinking later that i could have driven a bit further north (closer to where picket's charge occurred) and be on a downward slope to have more sun time. i'm thinking maybe i'll try out one of the round tops next year -- although i have to hope there won't be many people there.
DeleteWhat a perfect spot for the picture, and I love his pose! I need to try finding a spot like that around here (that ISN'T a cornfield).
ReplyDeleteit's close to what i had in mind when i was thinking about this before i arrived in gettysburg. i was just thinking that devil's den would be worth trying, too, as long as there isn't anyone around.
DeleteWhat a beautiful setting and such a striking pose. Love the low perspective.
ReplyDeletegettysburg is such a great place to photograph. this was my first opportunity to go out in the early evening and catch a sunset, too. izzy is very attuned to what is going on around her, so she was paying particular attention to something in front of her -- hence the pose.
