It's been such a pleasure and privilege to get to know you and Katie (and Sadie) on your blog. To see the love you have for your girls and the love they return to you. Nothing can change that. You and Katie fought with so much courage but sometimes you have to show your bravery in other ways too. You didn't let her down for a second. Thinking of you and thank you for being so brave.
I was so very sorry to hear the news of Katie's passing. The greyhound community is like a big family and every time I hear of a greyhound passing, it makes me so sad. They are all so special and take a big part of our hearts when they go. Every time another is diagnosed with cancer, I hold out the hope that they will beat the odds. Some day, and I hope in my lifetime, cancer is no more.
I was so sad to read the news on Facebook. I was cheering Katie on, hoping she'd do much better than Blue, and she did, but I know this wasn't the ending you wanted. Heck, there's never an ending you want, but I know this came much earlier than you were ready for. We've been thinking of you and your family!
