i thought, "wow. we're getting a dog that is rarely seen in southern california, and it comes with thick eyebrows, and it's adoption kennel name is 'groucho.'" since then, i've seen several others (in pictures only) with similar eye patches. it's so interesting.
Did you see the one called Zorro that has been floating around Facebook for ages? Very striking. Alex was such a handsome boy. I hope to be around long enough to have 20 years of Greyhounds :) Asher's first name was Groucho. His breeder/trainer called him that as he was a bit guardy with his food when young. Didn't suit him at all.
He was such a striking dog! Something tells me there will be a few more in the next twenty years. :)
ReplyDeleteindeed. alex was (at the time i thought) a unique-looking dog: such thick, black eyebrows — i had no idea that markings like this were possible.
Deletewe're looking for another hound...we're crazy enough to even consider a greyhound puppy if there's one available to adopt.
What a handsome lad. I've never seen markings like this. Time goes too fast.
