Not quite what I had in mind:

Katie and Sadie

  1. Did you intend to use a fairytale theme?

Oh Grandmah, what a big mouth you have...

  2. I see this as a medical reminder. "It's time for your check up. Open wide."

"Caaaaaaaaaandygram!" "Oops! Shouldn't have opened the door!"

  5. well, i thought it'd be nice to have a white background and pose both dogs and both cats simultaneously for the card. then i thought, "that won't work; i'll never get all of them to sit quietly together -- i'll photograph the cats and dogs separately."

so...while i tried to get sadie and katie to lie down together -- as if. like little kids they started to play bitey-face, which is where this picture came from. so i ended up posing everyone individually and compositing them in photoshop.

  6. I wish I were good enough to do that with Photoshop! I can't get things from different pictures put in there. So, we did last year's picture the old fashioned way and made all four dogs pose in front of the Christmas tree together! lol I was actually really happy with the results, and I'll probably use the same picture this year, if Lilac is still with us. Heh! No pressure, right?

  7. i hope lilac will be around, carrie.

i don't use photoshop enough to be any good at it since i use lightroom almost exclusively for all my post-processing.

we were a little more ambitious for our 2009 card where our card had images of sadie, katie, our two cats indy and tooey, four rats, and our iguana. three of the four rats are now gone, though; i'm not sure what i'll try to do for this year's card yet.
