Hoover

I was thinking of writing something to accompany these pictures of Hoover I took in Gettysburg, but it's probably better that I don't:

(Shot with the Nikon D300 using the 70-200mm VR zoom; aperture-priority with aperture set to f/2.8 or f/3.2; shutter speed varies at ISO 200 and 800; center-weighted metering; sunny, cloudy, and shade white balance; some pictures used -0.7 exposure compensation; shot in RAW.)

  1. No words necessary! The pictures say it all! Hoover is a much loved and cherished hound, and you captured him beautifully!

    1. oh, he is very much loved...no doubt about that. he's leery of men, but i got him to take some dog treats from me after a while. he's a beautiful boy.

    1. jen is hoover's "big sister", and is the daughter of hoover's owner (who was busy with minty, her other hound, during the session). the two were together the entire time. hoover warmed up to me as time went on (he took treats from me towards the end), but we didn't have enough time for him to be completely comfortable with me (he is leery of men, among other things). he's a beautiful boy.
