Welcome back to Gettysburg

While at O'Rourke's Family Eatery I was drenched by a downpour. But I got some cool-looking star spikes from the oncoming headlights.

Not quite what I had in mind...

(Shot with the Nikon D300 using the 50mm f/1.8 lens; aperture-priority with aperture set to f/5; camera chose shutter speed of 1/100 second at ISO 400; center-weighted metered; auto white balance; normal JPG.)

  1. It was great to meet you. The weather forecast was iffy all weekend. With the reflection from the headlights, the rain almost looks like hail.

    1. i took this as the downpour was finishing. there was a cell phone picture i took during the worst of it, which i posted on my wall. it really shows how heavy it was raining. i should have taken my nikon out sooner but we were waiting for the rain to let up.

  2. Ha ha ha! At least Friday and Saturday mostly held out. It was so good to see you, and I'm sure you've got some fantastic pictures from the whole thing!

    1. there ar some decent pictures...i'm browsing through my session pictures right now. and i got a lot that i'm not happy with. i hope to learn from those.

i'm glad that it wasn't warm like it was the first time i went to GIG two years ago. i felt sorry for the vendors with having to put up with the cold wind on friday -- at least i could move around as i pleased.

it was good to finally meet kuster, morgan, blueberry, and your husband. and, of course, to see you and bunny again.
