Harry
(Shot with the Nikon D300 using the 18-200mm zoom set at 31mm; program mode; camera chose 1/250 second at f/13 and ISO 200; daylight white balance; processed in Lightroom using the Creamtone preset; shot in RAW.)
which is part of the "fun" of post-processing. i say "fun" because otherwise a lot of the time it becomes a chore. especially if you shoot in raw, which i did at dewey, instead of jpg. that's because there's more you can adjust in raw than in jpg. i knew that going in. but i'd rather be out and about with my camera instead sitting in front of my monitor, staring at what needs fixing.
I love how that ended up! Harry is one handsome Roman nosed boy and you really did him justice!
Lately I feel like I spend more time processing than anything else, but I'm trying to learn some new things. Like how to make the sky darker without screwing up the rest of the photo. *sigh* Perhaps Photoshop and I were never meant to be friends!
That Creamtone effect is lovely and so perfect for that photo. Harry looks like a very wise man. He has wonderful eyes.

ReplyDeleteGreat photo. Post-processing can sometimes be a real time-suck.
