To streak, or not to streak

To streak (Sadie):

Sadie

...or, not to streak (Katie):

Katie

Sadie was clocked at 24 mph/39 kph on a radar gun; Katie registered a 7 mph/11 kph (she was even clocked at -8mph for a few moments).

(Shot with the Nikon D300 using the 70-200mm VR zoom lens; shutter-priority with shutter speed set at 1/3200 second; camera chose aperture of f/4 at ISO 400; auto white balance; normal JPG.)

  1. Lol, I guess some hounds choose to retire, while others like to remember the old days and let 'er rip.

  2. Someone is taking her retirement very seriously :) Looks like Sadie enjoyed having the crowd cheer her on.

  3. It looks like Sadie loves playing to the crowd while Katie loves playing coy! They're both beauties!

  5. sadie's picture was really the only decent running picture that i got of her. i got some fuzzy shots of her (all with similar body postures) when she started running, and a couple of fuzzy ones at the end.

katie was so slow i got plenty of pictures. one day, she will know what she's supposed to do. :P

    1. she went here and there in the run. she was in no particular hurry. at home, however, it's an entirely different matter.

  7. Lol, that is so funny. I would have expected Katie to streak like white lightening, not stand and pose for her adoring public. Go Sadie! I'd love to get Beryl clocked one day:)
